We wish to welcome you to the Institute of Social Sciences (ISS) Lusaka and Kabwe, Zambia. The ISS is becoming an institution of choice in Zambia. As well as catering for the training needs of Zambians, ISS has a strong consultancy and research department.

Located at The University of Zambia, Great East Road Campus Lusaka, ISS boasts some of the most modern teaching and learning facilities in Zambia. A networked computer laboratory and other technology, coupled with quality lecturing staff, creates a truly quality learning environment.

ISS is equipped with a large study manual collection and teaching rooms. With a Student Academic and Welfare Advisor(Resident Lecturer), supportive administrative staff, and fully qualified lecturers, students remain at the centre of the educational philosophy of the institute.

ISS is proud of providing student support to University of London and Cambridge International College students. In working together with the UL and CIC the institute seeks to provide local and international students with relevant and interesting courses. This is in addition to the University of Zambia Adult and Extension Studies courses that we have conducted since june 2005.Our students can now progress to degree level through these arrangements with international and local established and renown universities.

Courses and subjects at ISS are selected and established in collaboration with International and local academics who work closely with the service professions and moderate subjects, regularly visiting the institution to ensure that stringent quality standards are maintained.
